This is a roleplaying site. If you are not familiar with roleplaying, please read the instructions below. If you ARE familiar with roleplaying, read the instructions anyway because this site may not be the style you are used to.

ROLEPLAY 101
-----------------------

A roleplay, sometimes called an RPG (role play game) is a game where each person pretends to be a certain character and you write a story. You write in 1st person. Here are some things you should know before you roleplay:

When you join, your character must be your member name, AKA your username. That includes first and last name.
Acceptable name: John Smith
Unacceptable: johnyisthecoolest101

One you start roleplaying...
A post would be like this:

Up here you put any comments or whatever you want to say. But make sure to put OOC before it so we know it isn't your character talking.

This is where you write out what's happening. Write in 1st person (I, me, etc.) and always go with what the person before you said. For example, if they said, We went to the store.. then you can't talk about being at home. Simple, right? You would normally write more than this obviously but I'm not going to. This is where our site differs from a lot of others you might have seen. Where many people ban "god-modding/powerplaying", I believe it adds to the quality of your writing. HOWEVER, if someone posts your character doing something that you don't feel is something they would have done, you can ask to edit. Try to restrain from posting too many of the other person's actions until you get to know their character. A good rule of thumb is that you should restrain from playing another's actions unless it helps the plot.

It's really fun when you get the hang of it.
Some last minute tips:
Always follow what the other person said.
Thoughts are generally written in italics and speech always needs quotation marks.
That's basically it! PM me with any questions or uncertainties.
